Chester, Va., October 3, 2011 – Carl Zeiss Sports Optics has hired Todd W. Pearson as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing.    Pearson will assume responsibility for all sales and marketing functions for Carl Zeiss Sports Optics in the United States and play a key role in the company’s long-term strategic planning.

“Todd is tremendously talented with a proven track record in sales, and he also has one of the most creative marketing minds I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with,” said Michael A. Jensen, President of Carl Zeiss Sports Optics.  “Todd’s deep knowledge of the industry, vast network of contacts and extensive retail experience will help us dramatically change the company’s position and recognition within the industry.  We’re extremely pleased to have him on our team.”

Pearson brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience to his role at Carl Zeiss.   Prior to joining the ZEISS team, he spent eight years with Remington Arms Company, most recently as Director of Sales, served as Divisional Manager of Beretta USA and served as Territory Account Manager for Federal Cartridge Company.

In his new position with Carl Zeiss, Pearson will also assume a leadership role in all key accounts.

“ZEISS is a great brand, and I see a tremendous opportunity to grow at the retail level here in the U.S.,” said Pearson.  “My initial focus will be on significantly increasing sales and retail support as we implement an aggressive new marketing campaign.  I very much look forward to working with our retail partners and the entire ZEISS team as we increase consumer demand for ZEISS optics and continue to gain market share.”
