“Mrs. Adrenaline” Takes Center Stage in Illinois This Sunday on Adrenaline Junkies

New Berlin, WI October 14, 2011 – It’s role reversal for the Junkies! Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, is honored to showcase a “MUST see” episode of Adrenaline Junkies, Sunday, October 16 at 10:30 PM EST. The episode has been labeled “Mrs. Adrenaline Steps Up” for good reason. After filling two whitetail tags (Illinois & Iowa), “Mr. Adrenaline,” Kyle Wieter (co-host), puts down his bow and goes behind the camera in favor of co-host, Jennay Wieter.
The mid-November conditions are perfect with ‘blue bird skies’ and the temperature hovering around the freezing mark. The Illinois whitetails are in mid-rut and “Mrs. Adrenaline” is on the hunt for a mature buck. Needless to say, she does NOT let this “Big Boy” buck slip away.
“We’ve done a lot of episodes of Adrenaline Junkies, however this is one of the most memorable for me,” said Jennay Wieter, co-host of Adrenaline Junkies. “The size of the whitetail I harvested still blows me away to this day.”
“Jennay truly loves all facets of bow hunting which makes this experience for her so unforgettable,” said co-host, Kyle Wieter. “I’m proud to share this great experience with her.”
Chasing down giant Midwest whitetails and embracing the rush of adrenaline that runs through a hunter’s body at the moment of truth is what Adrenaline Junkies is all about. This episode is a hunters dream as the mid-rut provides several encounters with big bucks at the family farm affectionately known as “Cross Creek Farms” in Central Illinois. Typical of most hunters, “Mrs. Adrenaline” has had her share of ups and downs when it comes to close encounters when hunting mature bucks; however this journey produces a happy ending. After waiting patiently in her tree stand, Wieter spots a whitetail that ends up directly beneath her before she tags a mature buck from 15 yards. The shot placement was perfect and the score was knocking on the door of 150”, however the buck was a fighter and had a broken tine.
