October 19, 2011 Newport, Ore. – The wild coho salmon season on the Siletz River will close at the end of the day Friday, Oct. 21. That’s when ODFW fish biologists predict the wild coho quota of 700 fish for the river will have been caught.

The river will remain open to chinook salmon, adipose fin-clipped coho and adipose fin-clipped steelhead under permanent regulations.
