Riverbank Products Frog Giggin’ Tournament Relocates to Main Street El Dorado

Riverbank Products has relocated its tournament and expand its scope by teaming up with the annual Bikes, Bugs, and Bands Festival in El Dorado. The tournament will be May 11 and 12, and weigh in will be at the festival stage.
“Bikes, Bugs, and Bands is a great event for the whole family – and so is frog giggin’,” said Chris Porter, President of El Dorado-based Riverbank Products. “South Arkansas and North Louisiana have an abundance of natural resources, and we didn’t want to limit the tournament to one specific area. Now teams can come for the crawfish dinner and hear some good music before heading out to their favorite frog giggin’ honey hole”
Riverbank Products, maker of the NightRunner spotlight, the first commercially available hand held marine spotlight with integrated tilt and trim controls designed to help boaters navigate safely at night, created the event as a way to get people outdoors together enjoying nature and having fun.
Now that its part of the Bugs, Bands, and Bikes Festival, tournament registration and check in will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. inside the Rialto Theater on Friday, May 11. Arkansas Game and Fish will be on hand to conduct a short Night Time Boating safety presentation immediately following registration, and all teams must be present. Teams can leave from there and go to any location for their frog giggin’.
Weigh-in will begin at 9 am Saturday, May 12 on the main stage in El Dorado with R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere of The Swamp People officiating. Winners will be announced and prizes will be given for the biggest frog and biggest total bag weight. Teams with kids who are younger than 16 will receive an increased payout of 25%.
Unlike a Bass tournament, this is a team event and is limited to 100 three-member teams. Teams may use only one boat. Total bag limit per team is 10 frogs. Entry fee is $60 per team until May 1, and will increase to $75 after May 1.
