The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, the Missouri TBF, and the Lake of the Ozarks Tri-County Lodging Association will host the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) Missouri High School Fishing State Championship. The championship will be on Saturday, June 2 at the Lake of the Ozarks. Launch will be out of Pa He Tsi Access (Public Beach #2) located within the Lake of the Ozarks State Park near Osage Beach, Mo.
The championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9-12. Registration for anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is online at HighSchoolFishing.org. Check-in begins at 5pm CST on Friday, June 1 at the Inn at Grand Glaize in Osage Beach, Mo., with a mandatory rules briefing at 6pm CST. We highly encourage all teams to preregister online or by phone in advance to avoid late registration fees.
“On behalf of the Lake of the Ozarks Tri-County Lodging Association Board of Directors and the entire tourism family at the Lake of the Ozarks, we’re honored to be hosting the Missouri High School Fishing State Championship for the second consecutive year,” said Director of Sales, Lagina Fitzpatrick. “We’re also very thankful we can offer participants one of the best and most productive fisheries anywhere in the country. Our board is very motivated to ensure the success of this tournament for many years to come!”
