Outdoor Channel, America’s Leader In Outdoor TV, and NBFog, the brand-building specialists for the outdoor lifestyle industry, today announced a multi-year collaboration agreement centered around NBFog’s Buckscore product, the premier deer hunting and management software. The cooperative relationship focuses on enhancing both parties’ branding and marketing efforts, strengthening their respective online properties and creating a collaborative advertising sales arrangement.
NBFog is a multi-discipline company focused on brand building, sales management outsourcing, technology and media management, and business process outsourcing for the outdoor lifestyle community. NBFog’s Buckscore is an educational and data collection tool for deer hunters. Developed by the Mississippi State University Deer Lab, the patent-pending software uses a unique set of physical features, as well as statistically-derived models, to accurately estimate the antler size of photographed white-tailed deer.
Outdoor Channel and NBFog will work to extend each other’s reach within the outdoor space through cross-promotional activities conducted across various platforms, including online, social media and newsletters. The terms of the collaborative agreement includes Outdoor Channel being named the exclusive television network and online partner for Buckscore, which is now the official scoring system of the network. Outdoor Channel also becomes the exclusive advertising representative for NBFog’s various web properties, including Buckscore.com and TexasHuntFish.com. The sites will be expanded and managed by Winnercomm Inc., an affiliate of the Outdoor Channel.
“The founders of NBFog are seasoned industry pros from some of the most well respected companies in the outdoor lifestyle genre,” said Tom Hornish, President and CEO, Outdoor Channel. “This partnership represents the joining of two innovative entities from the outdoor space and we at Outdoor Channel look forward to working with NBFog in order to provide the hunters, anglers and outdoorsmen and women with all the tools and resources they need to be the best they can be.”
“Outdoor Channel is the clear leader in both the on-air and online space when it comes to traditional outdoor enthusiasts and represents the ideal partner for our Buckscore and other outdoor related assets,” said Randy Russell, NBFog’s co-founder and CEO. “Working with Outdoor Channel is a logical extension of our core values and brand and will allow us to better serve the hunting community nationwide.”
In addition, Outdoor Channel will be the title sponsor of NBFog’s first-ever National Deer Photography Contest. Land owners, conservationists, hunters, deer enthusiasts and photographers will be able to submit their photographs – taken with trail cameras, digital cameras and smart phones – to win outdoor prize packages and participate in a unique online community.
