GSI Outdoors, a leading supplier of outdoor table- and cookware, has retained the services of Andreas Ruhs to expand their sales and marketing efforts in the European Union countries. This move follows the official opening this past February of a warehouse in the Netherlands to further support the company’s European distributors. The announcement was made by Don Scott, co-owner of GSI Outdoors.
“These two moves are an important continuation of our strategic global expansion plans,” commented Don. “Europe is a core outlet for our products and we’re confident that Andreas will give us a much stronger foothold while growing our business in this very sought-after market.”
Andreas comes to GSI Outdoors with over 20 years experience in the outdoor industry as regional sales manager for Primus in Central and Southern Europe and responsible for sales, te
chnical support, clinics and marketing/public relations support. He will be headquartered out of Niederkassel, (Cologne) Germany.
GSI Outdoors currently has distribution agreements with distributors in Great Britain, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia.
GSI Outdoors is in the business of making cookware and dining products that adapt the comforts of home to active outdoor lifestyles at the campsite, base camp and anywhere in between. In 1985, brothers Don and Ian Scott and sister Kathy started the company in San Diego and then moved to Spokane, Washington in 1995, where they have been ever since. In 2001, GSI Outdoors started distributing outdoor related gifts under the name of Outside Inside. What began as a small distribution company selling blue enamel tableware has expanded into the design, manufacturing, sales and marketing of an innovative array of outdoor cookware and a whole range of eating and drinking products that are technical, innovative and fun. GSI Outdoors products are distributed worldwide.
