Kalani Laker Wins Second Place at 3GN Shoot-off at Texas Multi Gun Championship

Team Stag Arms continues to have great early success in this year’s 3-Gun Nation Pro Series Tour. At the recent Texas Multi Gun Championship, Kalani Laker continued his strong start to the 3-Gun season with another excellent showing on the most recent stop on the 3-Gun Nation Pro Series tour.

Continuing his blistering start to the season which began with a second place finish at Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun in Mesa, AZ and a fourth place finish at the first 3-Gun Nation Pro Series Event in St. Augustine, FL; Laker qualified for the 7th seed in the shoot-off after a strong finish in the match. Defeating legendary 3-gunner Taran Butler in the first round with a clean and fast run that was needed to beat someone of Taran’s caliber and experience; Laker advanced to the second round to face Burton Thompson who he was able to beat with fast and accurate fire from his Stag Arms Model 3G rifle.

In the final shoot-off Laker went up against one of the best 3-Gun competitors in the country, Daniel Horner, and narrowly lost to him in a furiously fast paced race to the stop plate. For his second place finish Laker won a check for $3000. The 3-Gun Nation Pro Series Shoot-Off consist of shotgun, rifle and pistol arrays, an all-out race to the stop plate in an exciting man-versus-man format. Competitors used their own gear through all preliminary bouts before switching to FNH provided equipment with Leupold optics in the finals and ammunition provided by Federal Premium.
