The Telly Awards has named Outfitters Showcase, presented by Outdoor Channel Outfitters, as a winner of two bronze awards in the 33rd Annual Telly Awards for their television segments featuring Tallahatchie Hunts and their Rio Brazos Outfitters online promotional video as a part of Outfitters Showcase Auctions in the travel and tourism category. With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.
The Tallahatchie Hunts segments, filmed, edited and produced by W.P. Productions, gave an up close and personal look at “Catfish” Flautt’s duck hunting operation in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. The piece featured the lodging, accommodations and hearty southern cooking their guests enjoy when hunting waterfowl with this family oriented group of Mississippi farmers. The Rio Brazos Outfitters online promotional video utilized exceptional cinematography and motion graphics to tout the Outdoor Channel Outfitters’ online auction program, where consumers can book deeply discounted, once in a lifetime hunting and fishing trips through their network of Certified Outdoor Channel Outfitters.
The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.
A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work – entries do not compete against each other – rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Silver Telly, our highest honor. Approximately 25% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Bronze Telly.
“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “Outfitters Showcase’s accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
“I know I speak for everyone when I say that we’re proud of the awards we’ve earned through our Outfitters Showcase television show,” said Neal Rohrbach, President of Marketing for Outdoor Channel Outfitters. “We worked extremely hard this past year to line up the best outfitters, highlight intriguing storylines, the ‘characters’ at each location we visited, and world-class game. I can’t pat our production team on the back enough for their unmatched dedication and talent.”
