Tips Sought in Montana Golden Eagle Poisoning Case

State and federal wildlife officials are looking for information on the death of two golden eagles in the Bear Creek drainage northwest of the town of Superior.

The state wildlife lab in Bozeman recently confirmed poisoning as the cause of death, and now investigators are looking for tips on the person or persons responsible for the crime.

Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to call the US Fish & Wildlife Service at 406-329-3000 or the Turn in Poachers-Montana hotline at 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668). Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward for information leading to a conviction.
