Deeds, Houk Win Individual Titles at Nebraska’s Cornhusker Trapshoot

J.P. Deeds of Lincoln Southwest won a seven-way shoot-off to take the individual crown in the 16-yard targets of the senior high division at the 43rd Cornhusker Trapshoot on Friday. Deeds and six other shooters had shot 99X100.
Racheal Houk of Leyton High School shot 98X100 to win the girls’ individual title.
The Cornhusker Trapshoot, held at the Nebraska Trapshooting Association (NTA) home grounds, concludes Saturday with senior high handicap competition and the presentation of the Cornhusker Cup to the overall winner. Cody Newlun of Hastings 4-H finished third in the 16-yard targets and will try to repeat as Cornhusker Cup champion Saturday.
There are 1,253 shooters competing in the senior high division.
The Cornhusker Trapshoot is hosted by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and the NTA.
