Grand National Cross Country Series Visits Indiana with Inaugural Limestone 100

The 2012 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series is visiting three all-new venues this season, including this weekend’s Round 6 stop in Springville, Indiana for the Limestone 100 GNCC.

This weekend’s race is at the Lawrence County Recreation Facility (LCRF), a year round riding facility, in Springville. The facility is owned by American Bikers Aimed Toward Education of Indiana (ABATE). ABATE is a not-for-profit organization that aims to promote safety, education, advocacy, protect motorcycle rights and to help others through charity.

This week is event number six and the ATV racing has been dominated by defending champion Chris Borich of the Fox Racing. Borich has been amazing this year with his consistent finishes. Chris Borich has been on every podium so far this year including 4 wins and a third place finish in round 3 at Steele Creek.

Precision/Moto X Perts/ITP/Lonestar/RG Motorsports’ Adam McGill currently trails Chris Borich by 49 points in the standings. Although McGill is racing with a new team on a new bike, he has 3 second place finishes but has suffered two mechanical problems that have set him back in the point’s race. Only 10 points separates 2nd through 5th place.

GNCC tickets run $15 for the full weekend, with pro pit access and pro autographs at no additional charge.

The weekend race schedule:

Saturday, ATV youth riders race at 8 a.m., amateur racers and the top utility and women riders race at 10 a.m., and the top amateurs and the pros race at 1 p.m. Kids Pee Wee Jr. (4-6 years), Pee Wee (7-9 years) and Casual Trail (7-9 years up to 65ccs) racing will be at 4:30 pm

I have been riding motorcycles since I was 9 years old. I bought my first ATV in 1984. I have been an addict ever since.

I have also been active in Utah's Jeep/Off road communities since 1993.
