Astronomers Head to Albuquerque for Solar Eclipse

National Park Service (NPS) astronomers will host visitors and the media at Petroglyph National Monument in Albuquerque, N.M., this Sunday for the first solar eclipse visible in the United States in 18 years.

Petroglyph National Monument is one of more than 30 national parks in the southwest to offer excellent eclipse viewing. Many of the parks will have special programs. The NPS will broadcast the eclipse live by webcast from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Petroglyph National Monument.
