Colorado’s Lake Pueblo State Park’s Memorial Day Events Announced

Lake Pueblo State Park has activities and events for visitors of all ages. The hikes, boating safety classes, naturalist programs and other fun activities connect kids and adults with nature and the outdoors. Most of the programs are free, but all vehicles entering the park must have a daily pass, $7, or an annual pass, $70. For additional information, please call 719-561-9320.
Thursday, May 24
- Boating Safety Class, 5 – 8 p.m. Meet at the Visitor Center Auditorium, $15.00 fee. For more information call: 719-791-1954.
Friday, May 25
- Swim Beach Opening Day!, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Fish Prints at the Swim Beach, 1 – 3 p.m.
- Star Gazing Party, Southern Colorado Astronomical Society, Arkansas Point, 9 p.m. Weather permitting, learn about celestial bodies that dog the night sky. A telescope will be provided for an up-close look, but feel free to bring your own telescope to view these astronomical marvels.
Saturday, May 26
- Skins & Skulls at the Swim Beach, 2 – 3 p.m.
- Owls of Lake Pueblo Campground Program, 7:30 p.m., at Arkansas Point Amphitheater
- Beavers: Nature’s Engineers Campground Program, 8 p.m., Northern Plains Amphitheater
Sunday, May 27
- Dog Walk, 9 a.m., meet at Visitor Center Parking lot. Dogs must be on a 6-ft. leash. Bring water and a poop bag.
- Making Tracks for Home, 1 – 2 p.m., Visitor Center
- Beavers: Nature’s Engineers Campground Program, 8 p.m., Arkansas Point Amphitheater
