Outdoor Television Personality, Neal Rohrbach, and his teammate, tournament angler John Chatham, teamed up with krugerfarms.com to fish for the Wolfson Children’s Hospital Charity Bass Tournament on May 18th and 19th in Palatka, Florida. The duo pledged to donate any winnings back to the charity, however tough luck and a competitive field yielded only 11lbs and 15oz worth of keeper bass, which didn’t bring home a check for the Wolfson Children’s Hospital. In the spirit of giving, Rohrbach has put his tournament jersey up for auction at http://auction.outdoorchanneloutfitters.com, with 100% of the winning bid being donated to Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
“We didn’t have any trouble catching fish, just big fish,” shared Rohrbach. “We probably fished harder than any other tournament because we were fishing for the kids. When it wasn’t our fate to make a donation back to the charity, I figured I’d put my tournament jersey up for auction, and raise a little more money for the hospital.”
Rohrbach’s tournament jersey includes his sponsors and partners from krugerfarms.com, K2 Coolers, Goey Hunting Calls, Onyx, Rapala, Limit Gear, Costa del Mar, Shimano, Trigger X, Minn Kota, Wildlife Energy Drink, Sufix, VMC, Outdoor Channel, and a tribute to breast cancer awareness, Autism Speaks, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Lew’s and Snag Proof both supported Rohrbach and Chatham as well.
Rohrbach grew up hunting and fishing on the family farm in Clarksburg, Missouri and has been shouldering a shotgun and wetting a hook since well before he had his driver’s license. He hosted all 26 episodes of the popular Outdoor Channel television show, Outdoor Channel Outfitters, in 2011. In 2012 he chased ducks and geese from the Prairie Pothole Region to the gulf coast in segments for Outfitters Showcase and will be co-hosting Ultimate Outdoors, airing on Outdoor Channel starting in July.
