Polaris Defense Introduces the Military Grade MRZR2 and MRZR4

Polaris Defense (PD) is the division of Polaris that handles the military applications. Today PD released the MRZR line of ultra-light tactical vehicles. Designed and engineered from the ground-up by Polaris Defense, these vehicles were built for today’s operator.

Polaris Industries announced last fall that the company received three separate awards exceeding $12 million to supply MV700 ATVs, MVRS700 Side-by-Side vehicles and associated spare parts to the U.S. military and its allies.

“Polaris vehicles appeal to the military due to our ability to modify our commercial off-the-shelf vehicles with additional accessories for different military missions,” said Rich Haddad, general manager of Polaris Defense. “The features and superiority of our product make them highly sought-after for military applications.”

The MRZR comes in two models:  MRZR2 designed for 2 operators and the MRZR4 designed for 4 passengers.  These vehicles were designed to take the abuse of military operations.

Features include 60” vehicle height with a tool-less collapsing roll-cage, an 88 hp 875cc Polaris Prostar engine, CVT transmission technology including all wheel drive, electronic power steering, blackout drive and IR capable and a full underbody skid plate.  The MRZR4 has room for 1 or two litters in the back.

In addition to the two side-by-side models, Polaris also has a military grade ATV.

The Polaris SPORTSMAN MV 850 is the next generation of militarized ATVs. The MV 850 comes perfectly equipped for today’s military operations with these key features: 850cc / 77hp 4-stroke SOHC, Twin Cylinder Gas Engine, 11.75 gal / 44.5 L Fuel Capacity, Electronic Power Steering, Black-Out Drive and IR Capable, 1500 lbs. / 680.4 kg Towing Capacity, Front & Rear Metal Racks that allows the vehicle to be sling loaded.
