Leica Sport Optics Welcomes Anthony R. Tekansik’s Return as National Sales Manager

Leica Sport Optics, a leading manufacturer of high-quality binoculars, rifle scopes, spotting scopes and rangefinders, is pleased to announce the reappointment of Anthony R. Tekansik as National Sales Manager for its US division, beginning June 1, 2012.
Tekansik has more than 18 years of experience in sport optics sales, business development and sales management.
Tekansik’s main focus will be to further develop and manage an already strong national sales force, expand distribution and strengthen Leica’s positioning in the sport optics categories.
According to Terry Moore, Leica VP of Sport Optics, “Tony brings experience, knowledge and skills that will enhance our existing sales relationships and help propel Leica Sport Optics to the next level of growth.”
Most recently, Tekansik held the position of National Sales Manager for Steiner Sport Optics, USA. At Steiner, Tekansik’s work involved maintaining quality direct relationships with all major accounts, negotiating annual programs to address dealer needs and meeting sales and profitability goals.
Prior to Steiner, Tekansik worked as a national sales manager for Leica Sport Optics. Tekansik’s impressive resume also includes positions at Remington Arms, Inc.; Carl Zeiss Sport Optics, Inc.; Swarovski Optik North America, Inc. and Pentax USA, Inc.
