WFN Gets Ready for Summer with a Night of Season Premieres
OutdoorHub 06.04.12
When anglers tune in to WFN: World Fishing Network, North America’s only 24/7 fishing channel, Monday, June 4th, they’ll be treated to the season premieres of three shows – the WFN Original Lost Lake, the all new Kayak Bassin’ and one of Canada’s longest running fishing shows, The Fish’n Canada Show. In addition, one of the world’s best seafood chefs shares his tips to cooking sumptuous fish recipes in a new video collection, entitled ESCA Kitchen.
When Chef David Pasternack is not in the kitchen at ESCA – his southern Italian trattoria in New York City dedicated to celebrating the fruits of the sea – he can almost always be found fishing. The man whom The New York Times called “the fish whisperer” scours the globe in search of the best seafood. Now, all anglers can learn Chef David’s secrets to succulent preparations for their own daily catch on WFN’s newest video blog, ESCA Kitchen. From grilled porgy with fresh salsa verde, to spaghetti with lobster, the preparation of each dish is captured on video and accompanied by ingredient lists and cooking instructions. New recipes will be posted every three weeks to www.worldfishingnetwork.com/esca-kitchen.
The Fish’n Canada Show, which airs Monday nights at 7:00 pm ET on WFN, is one of Canada’s longest-running fishing shows. In the season premier on June 4th, Angelo Viola and Pete Bowman head to Northern Ontario’s Lodge 88 on Esnagi Lake, where they meet up with a fanatical fishing group from the Kaeden Brown Foundation. The episode truly shows how fishing is the hub of great friendships. Along with sharing the boat with some of “the boys,” Angelo and Pete still find time to sneak out and try for the giant walleye that Esnagi is known for. They fish everything from still water in high blue skies finessing live bait presentations, to ripping jerkbaits in blistering, driving rain, catching amazing walleye in spite of everything that Mother Nature throws at them.
Follow kayak bass fishing expert Chad Hoover across North America in search of big bass in little boats. Whether it’s a private lake, crowded public fishery, or backwoods adventure, Chad shows you how to find bass where others can’t. Kayak Bassin’ is a new 13-episode series on WFN that will air Monday nights at 8:30 pm ET. In the season premier, Chad takes his hunt for monster bass to V.I.P. Adventures in Summerville, SC, whose six lakes are known for having some of the best largemouth bass fishing in the Southeast. Other trips on tap for this season include hotspots in Alabama, Canada, Florida, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Watch the pros attempt to discover the hidden treasures of an unfamiliar body of water and see if they succeed. Each week, Lost Lake requires one of the world’s top anglers to use their skills to quickly catch fish in unchartered territories. Season two of this WFN Original will air Monday nights at 9:00 pm ET. In the season premiere, FLW pro angler Marty Stone seeks out largemouth bass in a South Texas reservoir during post cold front conditions in November.
