The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is hosting an informational meeting to discuss improvements to the Hammond’s Cove Shooting Range located in Hartland, VT on Wednesday, June 20, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the basement of the Hartland Recreation Center, 19 Rte 12, in Hartland, Vermont.
This Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department property has been a shooting site for many years and has been stewarded by the Hartland Fish and Game Club. The department is planning safety and environmental management improvements for the site, including fencing, drainage swales, fixed shooting positions, side berms, and backstop enhancement. The department will be entering into an agreement with the Hartland Fish & Game Club so its members can act as range stewards.
Fish & Wildlife staff will give a short presentation about the site and will be on hand to answer questions, provide information and take comments on the range design.
