National Wild Turkey Federation 06.21.12
It won’t take long to realize you’re watching a whole new type of outdoor television show when you tune into the new “NWTF 365.”
With a great vibe of southern rock and Cajun blues backing the outstanding video, the program clearly shows the NWTF is much more than just wild turkeys. The NWTF created “NWTF 365” to showcase the wide impact of its upland conservation work and how that work helps bring you the best in hunting deer, quail, elk, waterfowl, dove and much more.
The show will debut on June 26 on the Pursuit Channel and air Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m., Thursdays at 1 a.m., and Sundays at 10 p.m. Eastern time. “NWTF 365” will replace “Turkey Call” during the third and fourth quarters. “Turkey Call” and its great turkey hunting action will return in the first and second quarters of 2013.
Viewers also will be able to watch “NWTF 365” online on the Pursuit Channel’s website. Each new episode will be available for viewing seven days after its initial airing.
“NWTF 365” will take you along on hunts with dedicated NWTF members to pursue the most popular game species throughout the nation – from whitetails and big game to predators and waterfowl. “NWTF 365” will have the highest production quality, compelling camera shots and an upbeat soundtrack sure to excite viewers looking for hunting adventures that connect with their upcoming hunting seasons.
“The show is definitely a break from the traditional NWTF hunting show. The pace is faster and the hunting is more diverse,” said NWTF Editorial Director Burt Carey. “What really sets us apart from other hunting show is our commitment to our mission of conservation and the preservation our hunting heritage and remains the same and can be seen throughout each episode.”
Each show will capture the pursuit of a different game species at premier locations throughout the nation. This season “NWTF 365” will take hunting enthusiasts on breathtaking hunts for monster whitetails in the heartland, ducks in the Central Flyway, doves in sunflower fields of the South and geese in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains.
Every episode of “NWTF 365” also will feature expert tips and tactics from Mossy Oak’s Ronnie “Cuz” Strickland.
With contributions from the best wildlife biologists and hunters across America, every episode of “NWTF 365” will feature a segment exploring critical topics and challenges facing hunters and the game they pursue.
“The one thing you won’t see on ‘NWTF 365’ are any spring wild turkey hunts,” Carey said. “We’ve reserved all our great turkey hunting action for the spring, which we will air when ‘Turkey Call’ comes back for another season in January.”
