Fifth Straight Win for Suzuki’s Chris Borich

This past weekend took the Can-Am GNCC racing series to Snowshoe, West Virginia for round 8.

Chris Borich claimed the overall win at Snowshoe. Can-Am/Motowork’s Chris Bithell claimed second and Yamaha/Ballance Racing’s Walker Fowler placed third in the Pro XC1 ATV.

The race starting order was determined by series points with the top five in each class in the front row and the rest of the class following accordingly by row. This didn’t give Chris Borich’s competitors any advantage and allowed him to nab a top three spot right off the start. By the end of the first lap, Borich had slid into second place. The last few years has wreaked havoc on Borich. This year it almost continued when Borich hit a rock hard and fell back into third. Borich was able to recover and break the streak.

“I tried to keep Brian Wolf in sight but I smashed into a rock and fell back a bit. I just kept going after that and caught back up and we were battling, but Brian ran into trouble out there and I was able to cruise in for the win,” said Borich.

Borich looked strong and confident in a final lap pass when then-leader Brian Wolf encountered issues. Borich held his position and took the win by over 30 seconds. Borich has taken the top spot in seven out of eight races, giving himself a large points lead.

The question running through everyone’s mind is, can anyone stop Chris Borich?
