Cabela’s King Kat Tournament Trail Bringing their $10,000 2-Day Super Event to Indiana

The Cabela’s King Kat Tournament Trail will hit the waters of the  Ohio River at Vevay, Indiana with a $10,000.00 2-day Super Event August 10th & 11th, 2012.  This is the opportunity for local catfish anglers to compete for $10,000.00 in cash and prizes along with a chance to advance to the Cabela’s King Kat Classic. This year’s Cabela’s King Kat Classic will be held on the Alabama River at Selma, Alabama  September 27/28/29, 2012. Be sure to check out our new website at: www.kingkatusa.com. It’s a new site with new and exciting information on our events along with special information for catfish anglers everywhere.

Weigh-In Site

The tournament weigh-in will be held at the Paul Ogle Riverfront Park in Vevay each day. Tournament hours on Friday and Saturday will be 6:30 AM until 3:00 PM. All anglers must be in weigh-in line by 4:00 PM with a 5 fish limit per team. To help preserve the sport only live fish will be weighed in and all fish will be released after the tournament. Registration

“Please note new rules on registration”.

  1. Late registration will be held the day before competition at specified location from 5-7 pm. Captains Meeting/Seminar will follow at 7pm.  Registration for this event will be held at: Best Western-Ogle Hause Inn, 1013 W. Main St. in Vevay.

  2. There will be no meeting, late registration or boat launch the morning of the event. Anglers will be allowed to launch on tournament water at 5am tournament morning. No fishing is allowed until 6:30am.
  3. Must be a member of the King Kat Association to fish this event. A one year membership is $25.00.Legal waters for the event will be: From the Meldahl Lock & Dam to the McAlpine Lock & Dam.

Note: Rooms are blocked for fisherman at the Ogle Hause Inn, and will be released 30 days prior to the tournament. When making reservations, use this code (Not available at this time)  to receive the special rate for fisherman.
