Recent Rains Result in Lifting of General Fire Restrictions on Idaho DFG Managed Lands with Some Exceptions

Recent rains have moistened habitat such that the general fire restrictions previously placed on Department managed lands and access sites has been lifted, except for those areas where specific restrictions still remain.

According to Regional Habitat Manager Terry Thomas, “Even though fires are again being allowed on most Department lands, users are encouraged to keep fires small and under constant observation. Having a shovel and bucket of water on hand would be a good idea.”

Fire conditions in some areas remain of concern, so it is important that users heed and posted restrictions.   For more information contact the Upper Snake Regional Office at 208-525-7290.
