NRA National Pistol Championship Matches Begin

Port Clinton, Ohio – Pistol shots can be heard all across Camp Perry as the NRA Pistol Championships begin. At 1:00 PM, the Harry Reeves Memorial Revolver Match was shot. James R. Lenardson of Toledo, Ohio, pictured below, won the 2011 match here at Camp Perry and broke the National Championship Record with a score of 291-11X. We will definitely be keeping an eye out for Lenardson in the score results and we will see if he can hold his title for another year.

Right now, competitors are beginning the Distinguished Revolver Match. David I. Lange of Glen Rock, NJ, pictured below, was last year’s winner with a score of 278-7X. We will be watching to see if he can out-shoot top competitors again, such as Distinguished Revolver Match record holder CPT Hemphill.
