Amanda Furrer starting shooting at 11 years old as a member of the Spokane Junior Rifle Team. Ten years later she is representing her country on the world’s biggest stage.
Furrer earned a spot on this year’s Olympic squad when she won the nationals. She will be one of two American women shooting in the three position 50m competition in London. Furrer has said she thinks her demanor might put some of her competition off their game: “They’re not used to seeing girly-girls like to shoot some guns.”
