Shooting Industry Masters First Shots Orientation is Filled Up

With only a week left before members of the industry converge on the Rockcastle Shooting Center, the 2012 Shooting Industry Masters has filled up its First Shots Orientation.

“It’s so exciting filling up the Masters First Shots Orientation shortly before the event begins,” said Shari LeGate, Shooting Industry Masters event manager. “The Shooting Industry Masters has high standards, and we’ve worked hard to raise the bar of the Masters First Shots Orientation, bringing it up to that same level, while making sure new shooters participating in the Masters have fun and are taught correctly.”

Fifty first-time shooters will be attending the Masters First Shots Orientation — and their instructors are the best of the best. Six members of the USA Shooting Team will volunteer their time to assist novice shooters on the first day of the match.

“These new shooters attending the Shooting Industry Masters will have an opportunity to receive hands-on instruction from some of the best shooters in the world. Where else but the Masters can you learn to shoot from members of the USA Shooting Team?” said LeGate.

The Masters First Shots Orientation would not have been possible without contributions from those in the industry.

“We’ve had great support from members of the industry donating their time,” LeGate said. “Many thanks to Mike Shovel from CORBON, Dave Biggers from Biggers Consulting and Mark Redl from Colt. Without these guys working the logistics, a full class like this would be hard to manage.”

The 10th Annual Shooting Industry Masters, owned and operated by FMG Publications, will take place July 20-21 at the Rockcastle Shooting Center, Park Mammoth Resort, in Park City, Ky. Joining over 375 members of the industry at the Masters are USA Shooting Team members Jacob Turner, Collin Wietfeldt, Jaiden Grinnell, Amy Sowash, Matt Wallace and Brian Beaman.
