Florida FWC Offers Summer Day Camp Program in Washington County
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering a summer day camp program for youths age 10 to 15 who are interested in hunting and other related outdoor activities.
The camp is at Hard Labor Creek Plantation on Hard Labor Creek Road in Chipley from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 23 through 26, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 27.
The cost to attend is $175 per person and a limited number of scholarships are available.
During hunt camp, participants have the opportunity to earn their hunter safety certification and learn about Florida’s great hunting heritage. They will spend time on the ranges learning gun safety, safe loading and unloading of firearms as well as shooting.
Campers also learn how to use game calls and have the opportunity to make their own game call.
