Three-hundred-and-twenty-plus members of the industry will step to the firing line at the 10th Annual Shooting Industry Masters this weekend at the Rockcastle Shooting Center in Central Kentucky.
FMG Publications, owners and operators of the Shooting Industry Masters, has set records for the number of teams entered, the number of sponsors and the number of side matches.
“Our first shots are about to go downrange, and we couldn’t be more excited,” said Randy Molde, Masters chairman. “We welcome to Rockcastle a record-setting 82 teams and 34 sponsors. We also are hosting 12 side matches — the most in our 10-year history.”
FMG has also set the goal of raising a record-breaking amount of money for NSSF’s First Shots program.
“We appreciate all the companies that support the Masters,” said Molde. “We are now challenging ourselves and the industry to make a higher commitment to First Shots.”
During the past three Masters, FMG Publications has raised a combined total of $94,000 for First Shots.
Joining FMG to kick off the Masters is Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who is scheduled to welcome the industry to Kentucky during the event.
“This year’s Shooting Industry Masters is set to be the best competition in the 10-year history of the industry-only event. Each year, we make the same pronouncement, because each year, the Masters grows beyond even our high expectations,” said Russ Thurman, Match director.
FMG also thanks the hosts of this year’s Masters, the Noble and Humble families at the Rockcastle Shooting Center, Park Mammoth Resort in Park City, Ky.
“Salutes to all, and we’ll see you on the firing line!” Molde said.
