Vincent Hancock Wins Gold in Men’s Skeet

United States Army Sergeant Vincent Hancock took home a gold medal in men’s skeet today in addition to setting two new Olympic records. Hancock, a member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, competed at England’s Royal Artillery Barracks under rainy conditions in his second Olympic appearance. Hancock is no stranger to Olympic gold, having also won gold in men’s skeet during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

By winning his second gold medal, Hancock became the only skeet shooter in history to win two Olympic gold medals. Even more impressive is that he shot 148 clays out of 150, setting a new Olympic record. Hancock’s victory comes on the heels of Kimberly Rhode’s gold medal victory in women’s skeet. Keep it up, team USA!
