Video: Skydivers Break World Record

Last week, 138 skydivers joined hands mid-air and broke the record for the largest number of people linked together while skydiving. The 138 jumpers leapt from six separate planes on Friday over the skies of Ottawa, Illinois before linking together in a snowflake formation. The dive was certified by judges from the Federation Aeronautique Internationale, the international air sports agency. The record-breaking event took a total of 15 attempts over the course of three days, besting the previous record of 108 skydivers which was set in 2009. Skydivers traveled from around the world to participate in the record breaking attempt, including countries like France, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Belgium, Australia and the U.K. Watch the video below for the exciting footage.
