Cabin Bluff Receives Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge Designation

Cabin Bluff has been designated as an Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge through The Orvis Company’s premier Endorsed Lodges Outfitters and Guides program.

The well-known outdoor outfitter utilizes its fly-fishing and travel experts to research, vet and select the finest lodges worldwide. Key factors contributing to the Orvis endorsement of Cabin Bluff include the retreat’s fly fishing opportunities, luxury accommodations, quality fishery and outstanding personnel. Cabin Bluff is one of only 50 lodges in the United States to be recognized by Orvis.

Cabin Bluff is situated along the intercoastal waterway in South Georgia and offers a diversity of fresh and salt water fish species.   Its location, along the sparsely developed Coast, near Cumberland Island means little pressure on the native fisheries and ample opportunities for a successful catch.

Founded in 1928 by automobile pioneer, Howard Coffin, Cabin Bluff was a world-class hunting and fishing destination for the wealthy.  Cabin Bluff to this day remains a destination built upon simple elegance.
