Free Family Fishing Opportunity in South Dakota

The S.D. Game, Fish and Parks and the Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation are offering free fishing with all equipment provided from 6 to 9 p.m. each Friday evening from 8 a.m. to 12 noon each Saturday morning until August 18 at Family Park in Sioux Falls.

Poles will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. No preregistration is required. S.D. fishing licenses are required for ages 16 and older.

The pond is stocked with rainbow trout and has a variety of different fish species including northern pike, largemouth bass, crappie and perch.
