Idaho DFG Hosting Free Field Day for New Archers on August 22

On August 22nd, the Idaho Department of Fish & Game (IDFG) will be hosting a 3D Archery Shoot at the Chester Wetlands segment of the Sand Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA).

This will be an opportunity for first time or inexperienced archers to hone their skills, get some hunting tips, and practice judging distances from various positions. Archers must bring their own bows and arrows and they must be in good working condition. Most targets will be field point only, but there will be at least one broad head target available. The course will be open from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the Chester Wetlands Headquarters on 2885 N. River Road in St. Anthony.

Space will be limited, so those wishing to participate must sign up prior to the event  by calling the Idaho Falls IDFG office at (208) 525-7290 or through the Idaho Relay Service at 1-800-377-3529 (TDD) or by email at james.brower@idfg.idaho.gov.

Please join us and get some additional practice before heading out into the field.
