Part of Nebraska’s Tobacco Island WMA Closed Temporarily

The north portion of William Gilmour/Tobacco Island Wildlife Management Area south of Plattsmouth will be closed to public access temporarily, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.

The flow-through chute on the area is being repaired by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The repairs are expected to take two months. Posted signs will designate closed portions of the area.
