Solimini Takes IDPA’s New England Regional ESP Division Title

Dave Solimini took the Enhanced Service Pistol division title this past weekend at the 2012 New England Regional IDPA Championship in Harvard, Mass.

Finishing fourth overall in the match, Solimini topped the ESP division with a time of 252.46 seconds while scoring 51 points down.

“Dave shot a very strong match this weekend, which not only gave him the division title but placed him among the top five of all those competing in the New England Regional Championship,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.

Trailing Solimini by over 50 seconds was James Martino who finished first Master with 304.47 and 78 points down. Terrance Robertson took third Master with 320.96 (56).

Finishing second within the ESP division, Craig Phillips took first Expert with 286.91 (63), while Joseph Quintillio claimed first Sharpshooter with 302.01 (68), placing him fifth within the division. Carl Smith claimed first Marksman honors with his final time of 370.11 (72).

Sponsored in part by New England-based firearms makers Ruger and Sig Sauer, the 2012 New England Regional IDPA Championship was hosted by the MetroWest Tactical IDPA club and held August 17-19 at the Harvard Sportsmen’s Club in Harvard, Mass.
