Nebraskan Outlet Structure at Hayes Center Lake Leaking

A leak in the outlet structure of the lake on Hayes Center Wildlife Management Area, located near Hayes Center, was discovered earlier this week.
Nebraska Game and Parks Commission staff and a private contractor will inspect the structure this week and determine the best option for a repair. Users of the area should be aware that the lake level is low and will impact current water recreation. The goal is to repair the structure as soon as possible so the lake can refill.
