Mounted archery was developed in both in the Eastern and Western Hemispheres for hunting and warfare. Native Americans used the practice on their buffalo hunts in the North American prairies. While the art of mounted archery has fallen out of fashion in military practice, many people in North America and Central Asia keep the tradition alive.
