Area Conservation Group to Host Sporting Clays Championship Shoot in RI

The William Harnden Foster Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will host its Dave Griskevich Memorial Rivers Edge Sporting Clays Championship at Addieville East Farm, 200 Pheasant Drive,Mapleville, R IonSunday, September 16, 2012, beginning with registration and a warm up five stand from8-9:45 a.m.Shoot begins at10 a.m.

According to Sally Hayter, the entry fee for the 100 target shoot is $90 per shooter prior Sept. 5th, ($100 after) and $340 for four-person teams ($360 after). Each registration fee includes targets, lunch and shooting gift. Station sponsorships are available for $260 and $1,000 respectively and along with station recognition includes Boyt shotgun cases andRGSlogo caps.

Using the Lewis Class system, prizes will be awarded to winners in six divisions.

As with all RGS fundraiser’s, proceeds from this event will be used to restore and protect grouse and woodcock habitat.
