Sportsman Channel Named Finalist for Several Cable Industry Awards

Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, announced today it has been named a finalist for several cable industry awards, including two CableFAX Program Awards, ACC’s Beacon Awards and CTAM’s Mark Awards. The network was nominated for its programming, production and marketing campaigns executed in 2011-2012. Sportsman Channel is a previous and multiple CableFAX Program Awards and Beacon Awards winner.
CableFAX Program Awards: The network is a finalist for two CableFAX Program Awards, both for the original Sportsman Channel production, Dropped: Project Alaska. The show is a finalist in the “Best Show: Animal or Nature” and “Best Show: Series or Other” categories. The CableFAX Program Awards will be announced on October 30. Sportsman Channel previously took home the gold in the Program Awards in 2011 in the “Best Show: Animal or Nature” category for the long-running series In-Fisherman. The CableFAX Program Awards honors the best in cable content.
ACC’s Beacon Awards: Additionally, Sportsman Channel is a finalist in the Association of Cable Communicator’s Beacon Awards for its “Dropped: Project Alaska and MeatEater Press Kit” in the “Media Relations” category. The Beacon Awards are cable’s highest recognition of cable communications and public affairs. The awards will be given out on September 13. Sportsman Channel already has one Beacon under their belt for “Hunt.Fish.Feed” in the “Community Affairs” category.
CTAM Mark Awards: Lastly, the network is a finalist in the CTAM Mark Awards for the video “Sportsman Channel and Xfinity Home Services” in the “Affiliate Marketing/Video” category. Sportsman Channel won this category last year with their “Video on Demand-Texas” affiliate marketing video. The Mark Awards recognizes outstanding achievement and excellence in marketing from networks, cable companies, and their agencies. Award recipients are known throughout the cable and entertainment world as “best in class”. The Mark Awards winners will be announced on October 16.
