Five-Time Olympian Kim Rhode Set for Cabela’s Fall Tour

Cabela’s Incorporated, the World’s Foremost Outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, will host USA Shooting Team member and five-time Olympic medalist Kim Rhode at retail stores in Utah, Texas and Louisiana, among others, as part of a nationwide fall tour. Rhode will discuss her career as the world’s most accomplished women’s double trap and skeet shooter, and will be available for autographs and photos during each appearance.

Rhode is the only American athlete to win medals in individual events in five straight Olympic Games, including gold in women’s skeet at the 2012 games in London. She earned gold in double trap at the 1996 and 2004 Olympics, and also is a 14-time national champion.

“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Cabela’s,” Rhode said. “In addition to shooting, I’m a huge fan of hunting, fishing, camping and the outdoors in general. Cabela’s has it all, so it’s a perfect match for me.”

Rhode is scheduled to appear at Cabela’s stores in Lehi, Utah, Sept. 22; Fort Worth, Texas, Sept. 29; Allen, Texas, Sept. 30; Gonzales, La., Oct. 27; Rogers, Minn., Nov. 10; Owatonna, Minn., Nov. 11; and Glendale, Ariz., Nov. 17.

Rhode kicked off the tour Sept. 15 and 16 with appearances at Cabela’s stores in Hoffman Estates, Ill., and Hammond, Ind. Those appearances coincided with Cabela’s popular National Rifle Association weekend. Attendees in Illinois and Indiana asked Rhode questions and learned about her journey to the top of her sport.
