Get Kids Outdoors and Win Prizes!

I don’t usually post many press releases, mainly because I’d rather write about something rather than just put someone else’s words on here, but I’m going to make an exception because this one is pretty cool! Here’s an opportunity to show off your kids or someone else’s in the outdoors, raise some money for 100,000 Kids in the Outdoors and potentially win some awesome prizes from Bushnell. So take take a look at the press release below and check out the ‘Kids in the Outdoors Contest’. If there’s one thing I’ll always support it’s getting more kids involved in the outdoors!

Have you introduced a kid to the outdoors lately? In honor of National Hunting and Fishing Day September 22, North American Hunting Club is teaming up with 100,000 Kids in the Outdoors for an online donation-driven photo contest. North American Hunting Club and North American Fishing Club are proud sponsors of National Hunting and Fishing Day.

Simply upload your best photo of a youth (aged 18 and under) enjoying the outdoors onto North American Hunting Club’s Facebook page by October 31. Hero shots are welcomed, but you can also simply show us how you best enjoy the outdoors.

Winners are determined by who receives the most donations for their photo. You can gather donations via social media, email and any other way you’d like with a custom link. Donations are accepted via PayPal and start at just $1.

View a brief video explaining the contest by Sr. Editor of North American Hunter, Luke Hartle, HERE.

The winner will receive a Bushnell prize pack, which includes: Legend Ultra-HD Binoculars, Legend Ultra HD Riflescope and Trophy Cam 8MP Night Vision.

100,000 Kids in the Outdoors has a unique, but simple, concept. Their goal is to encourage folks to do something that doesn’t require a huge time investment or cost: invite a child into the outdoors. The organization started when co-founder Shannon Young met Phil McAmis and read his story about his son Zac, who passed away at the age of 14. Phil and Zac were avid outdoorsmen and Phil was seeking a cause to dedicate to his son. Phil and Shannon soon devised a plan if they could get their neighbor’s kids outside, why not go further and ask 100,000 kids outdoors?

“I came across 100,000 Kids in the Outdoors through Facebook, and my relationship with the founder, Shannon Young, has grown exponentially,” said Hartle. “What these guys are doing is selfless, commendable and real.”
