Bushnell Outdoor Products, an industry leader in sports optics and outdoor accessories for more than 60 years, has announced the hiring of Jason Harris as product manager for Primos. Acquired in April 2012 by Bushnell Outdoor Products, Primos is based in Flora, Miss., and has more than 35 years experience developing game calls and innovative hunting gear.
As product manager, Harris will manage the Primos Hunting gear and accessory product lines that have become fixtures in the hunting industry, including Trigger Sticks, Double Bull Blinds, electronic calls and a variety of other hunting equipment.
“We are proud to welcome Jason to the Primos family and look forward to his contributions,” said Primos founder Will Primos. “His hunting background and experience in the outdoor industry make him a great addition to our team. We have been blessed with tremendous growth for many years, and Bushnell recognizes our success is a result of building a talented team who excel at their jobs and understand what hunters want and need,” added Primos.
Harris brings more than 10 years of outdoor industry experience to Primos. For the past five years, he served as archery accessory product manager at Easton Technical Products, where he was responsible for helping develop new product lines and establish marketing campaigns, among other responsibilities. Prior to working at Easton, Harris spent more than five years overseeing operations for archery accessory manufacturer Vibracheck.
Harris holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of West Florida. He is an avid hunter, member of several industry organizations and an active supporter of conservation.
