Ohio’s Magee Marsh Wildlife Area Temporary Road Closure

Access beyond the Sportsmen’s Migratory Bird Center located at the Magee Marsh Wildlife Area along the wildlife area road to the beach area, including the boardwalk and beach trails, will be closed, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Wildlife.

This portion of Magee Marsh wildlife area will be closed in order to provide a quality hunting experience for Ohio’s sportsmen and woman.

This road closure is in effect starting October 8 through October 27, 2012 and from November 5 through December 1, 2012. Additionally, the road and beach area will be closed during the controlled youth deer hunts scheduled on Saturday and Sunday November 17 and 18, 2012.

The remaining Saturdays and Sundays during this time period hunters, anglers, and wildlife viewer will be permitted access to the beach area and wildlife trails on Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. until sunset and Sundays from sunrise to sunset.

The Sportsmen’s Migratory Bird Center and bird center walking trail will remain open for wildlife viewing during the fall hunting season.
