Footbalance, an innovator in custom footbed technology, is proud to announce the winner of the Footbalance Road Report for Ragnar Relay Vegas is “Sin City Saints.”

Footbalance is partnering with Ragnar Relay, the nations’ top provider of overnight relay races, as a sponsor of six key races in the 2012 Ragnar Relay Series. As a sponsor of these six races, Footbalance and Ragnar are hosting the Footbalance Road Report contest. Teams are encouraged to submit their inspirational stories for a chance to win Footbalance custom-molded footbeds for each member of their team, for better support and foot health in their training and competition.

Ragnar Relay Series Vegas team Sin City Saints was selected after submitting a great photo and an inspirational caption about why all team members need custom footbeds. Team member Dave Koch managed to capture the winning shot, saying, “I do my best thinking while I am out running. I get up and out at 5:30am, so I can be ready to take my daughter to school by 7:00am. Anyway, I thought up this picture while I was running. As I was running, I also noticed the moon was low, so I decided to hurry so I could get it in the picture, too. I ran into the house and woke up my wife to take the picture. While she got dressed, I set up the flash and all, and she shot it. I think one of the pairs of shoes behind me in the picture is hers!”

Dave calls the photo “Sole Sacrifice.” And here is the inspirational caption that led us to choose team Sin City Saints as the winner: We are not the best; we are not the fastest; we are not the prettiest. But we work hard, and our feet give a lot. It is time for some payback.

Ragnar Relay Las Vegas is November 9 and 10, and Footbalance is proud to be a sponsor.

  • I like the pic. Makes me think of how we are slowly transitioning back to less on our feet. Barefoot running is the way to go and this pic (whether intentional or not) is a great one for that.
