Backwater Outfitters Launches New G.Lomis GLX Bass Rods

Anglers in the greater Lexington region are in for a special treat on Thursday evening (October 18) when Backwater Outfitters, the area’s premier tackle shop, introduces the complete new line-up of G.Loomis GLX bass rods. All the special activities start at 5pm, including a unique ‘parking lot’ bass tournament with the weigh-in being conducted by Bassmaster TV emcee Dave Mercer and noted anglers Mark Zona and Jonathon VanDam.
Along with the new G.Loomis GLX crankbait and flipping rods, Backwater Outfitters will be one of the first tackle dealers nationwide to offer the new GLX jig & worm casting and spinning rods, and the new GLX ShakyHead rods. All those participating in the casting and pitching tournament will have chance to win a new GLX rod, plus the top 10 finishers will receive a gift form Valvoline Oil.
The Backwaters Outfitters staff will be cooking and serving food until 6:15pm, leading into activities lasting until 8:30pm. The evening will include the tournament weigh-in, a rod auction to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network, and Mercer again on emcee duties for a Q&A session on fishing techniques and tackle with Zona, VanDam and G.Loomis staff.
