The North Mississippi Fish Hatchery Visitor Education Center (NMFH VEC) adjacent to Enid Lake will host a Bird Program on Saturday, October 27th at 2:00 p.m. Participants will learn how to make houses and feeders from recycled items found around the home and from natural items found in their own backyard. Participants will also learn some interesting facts about common backyard birds.
All the supplies are provided again this year along with easy-to-follow instructions and hands-on help. Participants should come dressed to create messy but interesting treats for feathered visitors.
The program is free with price of admission; however, registration is limited to 30 participants. If you want to pre-register or if you have any questions, call the NMFH VEC at (662) 563-8068. Admission is $2.50 for adults ages 18-59, and $2.00 for youth ages 3-17 and adults over the age of 60. The NMFH VEC is part of the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks and is located at Exit 233 east off I-55.
