Sportsman Channel Calling on Viewers to Decide the Best in Outdoor Television

2012 Sportsman Choice Award Voting Opens Nov. 5; Incentives Include Grand Prize Trip to Vegas, Invite to Awards Show
Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, has always believed its viewers to be the most important evaluators of network programming. As such, it is with great honor Sportsman Channel opens voting today, Monday, November 5, for the 2012 Sportsman Choice Awards, the network’s viewer-decided awards program. And one lucky Sportsman Choice voter will win a trip for two to the legendary Sportsman Choice Awards party, held annually in Las Vegas during the S.H.O.T. (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade) Show in January. The voting period officially closes at midnight on Sunday, Nov. 18.

The 2012 Sportsman Choice Award categories are: Best Hunting Show, Best Shooting Show, Best Fishing Show, Best Combination (hunting and fishing) Show, Best Educational/Instructional Show, Best New Series, Best Host(s) and Full Draw Award (bowhunting). Viewers will also vote on Moment of the Year clip award. This “moment” or sequence should celebrate or honor the one moment that most exemplifies everything we cherish about being a sportsman.
“With the number of premier shows that have moved to Sportsman this year and the new, original series we’ve embarked upon, the 2012 Sportsman Choice Awards promises to be the biggest and best awards show to date,” said Todd Hansen, Sportsman COO. “We are happy to once again allow a viewer and their guest to join us at our annual awards party in Vegas. They will be able to rub elbows with their favorite hosts and producers while, hopefully, congratulating them on winning a Sportsman Choice Award.”
All shows and show hosts airing on the network in 2012 are eligible.
