One of the hottest tickets in town last year, the Rumble returns to the 2013 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, as 3GN crowns a new champion while putting the sport of 3-gun on stage for the entire industry.
Public admission to this event, which is sponsored by Brownells and sanctioned by NRA Sports, is by invitation only. Free tickets will be distributed on the SHOT Show floor and are first come, first serve. Attendees may pick-up tickets at the following booths: FNH USA (#2903), Brownells (#805), Federal Premium (#14551), NBC Sports Network (#10731), NRA (#14540), Leupold Tactical Optics (#13023), Stag Arms (#20349), Samson Manufacturing (20327), DoubleStar Corp. The top 30 qualified for the Rumble based on match results from the 2012-2013 FNH USA 3GN Pro Series Tour, presented by Federal Premium.
In the first round, 2012 3GN Championship runner up Mark Hanish, of Team FNH USA, squares off against Stag Arms’ Jesse Tischauser. One of them will be rewarded with a second round match-up with Daniel Horner, the overall number one seed in the tournament.
Adam Popplewell faces Andrew Duan in the first round. The winner will get the winner of James Casanova versus Barry Dueck.
In the lower half of Horner’s side of the bracket, FNH’s Greg Jordan squares off against Jeremy Parker. The opposing bracket features Matt Burkett versus Chris Andersen.
Clint Upchurch takes on MGM Targets’ Travis Gibson in an opening-round matchup. That bracket pairs with the winner of Kalani Laker versus Stefan Wiggins.
On the right side of the bracket, the remaining bye was earned by Taran Butler, who was the second place overall finisher this season. Butler will be waiting for the winner of the first-round matchup between West Chandler and Bruce Piatt.
Jerry Miculek will face off against Jason Tielke in the opening round, with the opposing bracket featuring a matchup between Burton Thompson and Carl Carbon.
Two-time 3GN Shoot-Off winner Keith Garcia will take on Bryan Ray in the lower half of the bracket. The opposing matchup features Patrick Kelley versus Mike Voigt.
Tyler Payne will take on Tony Holmes in the first round, while Rustin Bernskoetter is slated to face off against Ben Fortin in the final matchup.
Along with the exciting action, vendors displaying will include FNH USA, DSG Arms, Vertx, Stag Arms, Leupold Tactical Optics and Oneida Molded Plastics. Bus transportation will be provided between the Clark County Range and the Sands Convention Center. Free food and drinks will also be provided. Drawings for sponsor prizes will be held, including the grand prize-a full 3-gun package sponsored by FNH USA. One lucky winner will receive a FN SCAR 17s, FNX 45 Pistol and the new P-12 pump shotgun. Must be present to win!
During the 3GN Championship Finale eight competitors will compete in a man-on-man Shoot-Off, an all-out race to the stop plate using semi-automatic rifles, shotguns and pistols. The first competitor to successfully knock down all the MGM Targets steel in sequence, including the stop plate, wins the bout and advances. The entire event will be filmed for 3-Gun Nation airing on NBC Sports Network.
