New Jersey Bear Season Permits on Sale Wednesday at 10am
OutdoorHub 11.13.12
The NJDEP is reminding interested hunters that the sale of unclaimed and leftover black bear hunting permits for the 2012 season (December 3-8) begins Wednesday, November 14 at 10 a.m. Permits can be purchased at any license agent or online; those purchasing permits online will have them mailed and need to allow 7-10 business days for delivery.
A current 2012 Firearm or All-around hunting license is required to purchase a permit. There is a $2.00 fee for each permit, and hunters are limited to two permits for the season. The season bag limit is one black bear regardless of whether a hunter has a permit for another area.
Permits for all four Bear Hunting Areas will initially be available; exact numbers of available permits will be posted online later today at http://www.nj.wildlifelicense.com/ALS/unit_report.php; that page will be updated in real time with remaining permits once the sale begins.
A list of license agents can be viewed at http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/agenlst.htm; permits can be purchase online from the Division’s license website at http://www.nj.wildlifelicense.com.
