The Arizona Game and Fish Department will host six open houses from Nov. 30 through Dec. 5 to provide the public the opportunity to review the 2013 hunt recommendations for elk pronghorn antelope, and population management hunts.
The open houses will be held from 3-5 p.m. on the following dates and locations:
- Nov. 30, Tucson regional office, 555 N. Greasewood Road

No formal presentations will be made during the open houses. However, a knowledgeable staff person will be available to discuss regional hunt recommendations.
The proposed hunt recommendations will be posted by Nov. 26 on the department’s website at www.azgfd.gov/huntguidelines.
Each year, the department makes recommendations to the Arizona Game and Fish Commission regarding the management of game species for the annual pronghorn and elk regulations, which establish the seasons, dates, bag limits, open areas, and hunt permit-tag allocations based on the framework of the hunt guidelines set by the commission every two years. Public forums on the elk and pronghorn recommendations were held this year on Oct. 18.
The final elk and pronghorn hunt recommendations will be presented to the Arizona Game and Fish Commission for consideration during its Saturday, Dec. 8 meeting in Phoenix at the Game and Fish headquarters at 5000 W. Carefree Highway, Phoenix (1.5 miles west of I-17). The agenda will be posted at www.azgfd.gov/commission under commission agenda.
